The lessons they learn at Boot Camp

Papa & I decided to UN-PLUG & spend the weekend at the Cabin so we could PLUG-IN to the GPS (God’s Power Source) & boy did He download awesome insights. Let me share w/u what The Holy Spirit showed us.

William Farley is an eye witness of the positive effect/change in his son, Tre’, after a weekend w/Father God, at ZOE Bootcamp. Below are the lessons Tre’ has put into practicer at home after attending ZOE Boot Camp.

1-      God: tithing… (he knows God loves him unconditionally)

2-      Others: slow to anger… (he is practicing patience)

3-      Himself: praying… (he wants God’s will to be done & he knows God’s plan for him is the BEST)

Did you notice that all the above are dealing with “relationships” & isn’t that what Jesus Christ wants us to have with Him, not a religion but a RELATIONSHIP ?

William said that Tre’s new outlook has made an impact on his whole family. Remember the boy with the small lunch that Jesus blessed; after feding 5000 He then gave the boy 12 baskets to take home to his family??? This insight should be an ‘Oh-wow’ moment to us all

This young man spent a weekend with God & came home a different person. If you leave the ZOE Bootcamp the same way you came, then why did you come? Even the counselors should leave with something different. If we truly Un-plug from the world & Plug-in to God’s Power Source (the Holy Spirit) we will surely be different.

A profound change; why? Could it be that this young man had not been brain-washed by religion (man’s traditions)? His heart was eager to receive God’s love & direction for living as “More Than A Conqueror,  through Christ who strengthens us”.

Religious traditions can slowly quench the Spiritual flame within, while the young believer is oblivious to what is happening to himself. As in boiling a frog. If you put a frog in boiling water, he will quickly jump out to save himself. But if you put him in tap water & slowly turn up the heat, he will sit there till he is cooked to death & lifeless.

Matthew 15:6-9 puts it this way:…Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.  And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’

Mark 7:6-13 says the same thing…Jesus said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.

And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men…laying aside the commandment of God, you hold to tradition of men…you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your traditions…making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down.”

I was lead to search the Greek word KJV uses for “tradition” & found something very interesting. “Tradition” in the Strong’s concordance & Vine’s dictionary is the Greek word #3862 “paradosis” & that word originates from another Greek word #3860 “paradidomi”, which means: (1) betray (Mark 14:18, John 13:2) & (2)put in prison. Do you see how our traditions are used by the enemy to put us in bondage & betrays our soul to believe a lie?

It is much easier for the un-churched to become “on fire” for God. It is ALL NEW to them & all they know to do is BELIEVE what God says, not what tradition has interrupted God’s Word to mean. I know a lady raised by parents who did not go to church. And when she became a born again believer, in her 20s, she was blown away by the scriptures & believed every word written! And now, many years later, she is still on fire for God & has a hard time understanding why so many who have been “raised in church” don’t have the same excitement for the TRUTH of the scriptures as she does.
